Alysia was born and raised in Camrose Alberta. She attended Capilano University in North Vancouver and earned her Diploma in Human Kinetics with special focus in Exercise Science. Living a healthy lifestyle has always been an important aspect of Alycias life. Growing up, she swam competitively for thirteen years, played water polo at a provincial level for 5 years, and has competed in several half marathons.
Following University, Alysia was employed as a Physical Education Technician at the Ras Al Khaimah English Speaking Academy in the United Arab Emirates for two years. Her position consisted of teaching student theimportance of physical well-being and how to exercise. Working overseas taught her many important life skills and also opened her eyes to what the world has to offer. Alycia has also traveled to India, Vietnam, Peru, and Egypt.

Outside of work, Alysia enjoys running, yoga, and volleyball.
