  • Registered Massage Therapist

  • Member of the British Columbia Massage Therapy Association

  • Certified in First Aid & CPR

Matt was raised in 100 Mile House, BC. At the age of eighteen he moved to New Westminster to study at West Coast College of Massage Therapy. He has been working as a Registered Massage Therapist in private practice for more than ten years. After three years working in his field, Matt was recruited by West Coast College of Massage Therapy, where he taught in the student clinic for five years.

Matt takes a clinical approach to providing rehabilitative care for unexpected injuries and overuse injuries acquired during activities of daily living or athletics. His treatment approach draws from Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Musculo-Tendinous Attachment release, and Myofascial release techniques to assist the body's healing process. He also provides therapeutic exercises tailored to the individual patient's needs, so that they may take an active role in preventing future injuries.

On his time off, Matt enjoys hiking, kayaking, fishing and camping with his wife. On days better suited to indoor activities, he plays guitar and works on home improvement projects. And on clear nights he enjoys stargazing and taking in the amazing sights his telescope provides.
