Kinesiology

Mask or face-covering required for appointment

Kinesiology is a type of active-therapy that focuses on correcting muscular imblances by means of strength training and movement. During your first session, your therapist will perform an assessment and create an appropriate treatment plan in relation to your goals.

A wide array of techniques may be used to customize each appointment. Your therapist may focus on improving

muscular strength, relaxation of tight muscles, joint flexibility, improving range of motion, coordination, body awareness

and balance. Occasionally ultrasound, laser therapy or taping

may also be used.

Kinesiologists are sort of like a combination between a physiotherapist, a personal trainer and a yoga instructor. They are trained to work with you on the good days and the bad days throughout recovery. Appointments are 60 minutes in length and take place in our gym at Kinetic Energy or in a local pool if aquatic therapy is better suited for you.

We accept private bookings and bookings in relation to ICBC injury.  If you have an open ICBC claim, you are able to book in with one of our Kinesiolgists and you don’t have to have a referral from a doctor to get started!
